The indie album cover: strictly illustrative or photographic, heavily edited in Photoshop, and usually focus on the face. wish he'd stay away, an album and artist created by me, takes the typical indie album cover and takes it even further. The album cover is a photo I took of my sister, chosen for this project because of her gaze. Her eyes were so intense, I decided to make them the focus of the album cover. The album itself is meant to capture the feeling of heartbreak, whether that is a lost familial connection, friendship, or a breakup. The blue and purple tones reflect the idea of heartbreak, and the rest of her face is blurred enough so that the viewer is forced to stare into her eyes.
